What do I need to do to participate?

You’ve heard the call and this art project resonates with you- what’s next?

You can participate as an individual  by making your own loom kit.

  • Groups can make their own loom kits and gather to weave and share.
  • Everything you need to know to set up your loom, weave, and finish your story cloth is in the instructional videos on the WEAVE page.  Watch the Videos
  • When your group  has completed your woven story cloths you are encouraged to share your stories in the group. You can create your own panel of story cloths by watching the videos on how to create a panel. Display this panel in your community and share the mission of the project.
  • Then stay connected on Facebook to watch the Women’s Woven Voices tapestry evolve.

Can men get involved?

Anyone may participate in the project including men. It was designed to call attention to women’s experiences and issues, and has now evolved to include everyone in the conversations and solutions that are forming compassion and mutual respect.

Men, you can actively listen and allow women to tell the story of their lives, as a catalyst for change, particularly by opening up discussions about issues of domestic violence and sexual abuse in a safe and supportive way.

EVERYONE can promote creativity, community and compassion and practice  open communication, active listening and mutual respect.

Please visit the Resource page.

You can add your financial support by donating.

How else can I support Women's Woven Voices?

You’ve written and woven your story cloth, shared your story and become a part of the international art project Women’s Woven Voices. We urge you to consider this a beginning. Circle back to the Mission of the project and recognize that by sharing your story you have become a catalyst for change and contribution.

You are now part of a community that promotes creativity, community and compassion.
